Writing this policy memo opened my eyes to the genre itself and helped me learn the ways that policy proposals are properly composed and handled in a political environment. My memo shows that I am a proficient researcher and formal writer, and it further enforces the fact that I have the ability to ardently argue an opinion with a strong basis in facts and an appealing tone to individuals of any ideology. I am passionate about implementing change through our liberal democracy, and believe I am able to enact that kind of change through content like this.
